Tech E-Bike Rental Terms and Conditions

1. Agreement Scope

By renting an e-bike from Tech E-Bike ("we", "our", "us"), you ("renter", "you") agree to the following Terms and Conditions. This agreement covers all rights and obligations related to the rental, use, and return of the e-bike.

2. Eligibility for Rental

• You must be at least **18 years old** to rent an e-bike.
• A valid **government-issued photo ID** is required at the time of rental.
• Riders under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian during the rental and usage period. The parent or guardian will be responsible for all actions of the minor.

3. Rental Duration and Return

• You must return the rented e-bike(s) on or before the agreed return time.
• Late returns will incur additional charges. A specified fee will apply for each hour or day overdue.
• Unless otherwise agreed upon in advance, e-bikes can be returned to any Tech E-Bike location.

4. Security Deposit

A refundable security deposit may be required at the time of rental. This deposit will typically be returned to you within 3 business days after the e-bike is returned in good condition. In the event of damage or loss, deductions may be made from the deposit.

5. User Responsibilities

• You are obligated to follow all local traffic laws and road rules while using the e-bike.
• You must **always wear a helmet**. It is the renter's responsibility to provide a helmet.
• Riding the e-bike under the influence of alcohol or drugs is strictly prohibited.
• You must always **lock the bike securely** when unattended. A lock mechanism can be provided by us.
• Racing, off-road riding, or carrying passengers is prohibited unless expressly permitted. The renter is responsible for any damage resulting from such unauthorized use.

6. Liability and Insurance

Tech E-Bike does not provide any insurance during the rental period. You are solely responsible for any damage, loss, or injury that the rented e-bike may incur or that may occur during your use. Tech E-Bike cannot be held liable for accidents, injuries, or property damage that occur during the rental period.

7. Damage or Loss

You must carefully inspect the e-bike before taking possession and immediately report any existing damage to us. If any damage occurs to the e-bike during your rental period or if it is lost, you may be charged for repair or replacement costs. This may include deductions from your security deposit or additional invoicing.

8. Cancellations and Refunds

• You can cancel your reservation free of charge up to **24 hours in advance**.
• No refunds will be issued for cancellations made within 24 hours of the reservation start time.
• If Tech E-Bike is forced to cancel a reservation due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., weather conditions, technical malfunctions), you will receive a full refund or be offered the option to reschedule for a suitable date.

9. Battery and Charging

• Rented e-bikes are typically delivered fully charged.
• Avoid overcharging the e-bike or leaving it unattended while charging. The renter is responsible for damages that may arise from improper charging practices.
• Requests for additional batteries may be subject to an extra fee. Please notify us of such requests in advance.

10. Privacy Policy

We only collect personal data necessary for booking and security purposes. We will not share your data with third parties without your express consent, unless required by law. Further information about our privacy policy can be found on our website.

11. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any disputes arising from these conditions will be resolved by the courts of Sydney.
